1870 Two-Cent Piece. MS-65 RD (PCGS). OGH. Vivid rose-orange mint color is seen on both sides of this attractive Gem. Sharply to fully struck throughout with soft satin to frosty luster. The first two-cent issue with a circulation strike delivery of fewer than 1 million coins, the 1870 is a scarce-to-rare offering in all Mint State grades. Most such pieces exhibit either BN or RB surfaces, with full Red examples seldom encountered at even the largest numismatic gatherings. Once again, an important bidding opportunity from the Larry H.
