- 1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 6.1-M, W-2820. Rarity-1. Mailed Bust Left, Laughing Head. AU-58. 111.11 grains. Deep golden-tan with some darker highlights. Both sides nicely centered with nearly complete saw-tooth dentils at the rim. Some minor planchet marks at the obverse center, as struck and not at all distracting, die cracks at AU, reverse pretty much mark-free, even under low magnification. An ever-popular Red Book variety. Accompanied by NGC insert # 655641-015 with a grade of AU-58 BN. The NGC insert does not include the Laughing Head Guide Book variety. PCGS# 358.
