- Lot 255 (1667-70) St Patrick Farthing B-213c, Griffee 42-9/9a NGC graded VF20.Slightly glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Reasonably smooth with only minor roughness, mostly in protected areas. No verdigris and the only notable mark is a dull nick on the left side of the X in REX. The strike is even and nicely centered on the planchet, and the legends are clear. John Griffee knew of 3 examples of the die variety, and this piece is superior to the example in his collection.
