Lot Description

1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.26-Gb.2, W-13120. Rarity-5. AU-50 (PCGS). 116.4 grains. This is a late die state and shows attractive dark brown hues on both sides and no troubling porosity or corrosion. The strike is sharp on the obverse but the reverse is such a late die state that features are worn from the strike and several die chips are seen when examined with a loupe. Impressive for this die pairing.
