1886 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. MS-64+ (NGC). Handsome golden-russet toning which shares its presence iridescent traces of blue and rose in the fields and tucked into the folds of Liberty's dress as well as the eagle's feathers. Slightly reflective fields as commonly seen, the dies were so sparingly used that they never fully lost their initial die polish in the fields. Boldly struck and quite desirable with a modest mintage of 5,000 pieces for circulation, a tiny sum by any standards.
