- BD Die State a/b. A rare offering for a pre-1834 half eagle in problem-free and attractive VF preservation, and as an example of the readily obtainable 1806 BD-6 die pairing this is a highly desirable circulated type candidate from the Capped Bust Right, Heraldic Eagle series. Richly and originally toned with glints of reddish-rose to dominant deep orange-honey color. All design elements are bold, and the surfaces are impressively smooth for the assigned grade. Likely a pocket piece, as it is difficult for us to imagine a coin of this type seeing this extensive commercial use, but really irrelevant given its significance to today's collectors.
