Lot Description: Lot 443 1855 N-13 R2 Upright 55 PCGS graded AU55.Glossy light to medium chocolate brown blending to darker chocolate toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and this cent has nice eye appeal, just lightly worn. A tiny rim nick at NI in UNITED is the only notable mark, and it is insignificant. EDS, die state a, with fine diagonal die lapping lines in the fields on the reverse, clearest at the O and E in ONE. Our grade is EF40.This relatively modest cent comes with a very nice provenance and was misattributed as N-5 for nearly a century.
