1800 Capped Bust Right Half Eagle. BD-2. Rarity-3+. Blunt 1. EF-45 (PCGS). Handsome olive-gold patina with glints of yellow-gold here and there especially on the reverse. Traces of satiny luster remain to reward the more persistent viewer, generally bold devices further confirming the desirable Choice EF grade from PCGS. As one of the two most frequently encountered die marriages of the 1800 half eagle (the other is BD-5), BD-2 is a strong candidate to represent the scarce and challenging Capped Bust Right, Heraldic Eagle design in an advanced gold type collection.
