Lot Description

These are scarce to rare in all Mint State grades in the RD category, since most 1870 cents were redeemed and melted by the Mint beginning in 1871. Offered is an uncommonly vivid near-Gem with orange-olive color lighting up the obverse, the reverse a bit more reserved in golden-orange. Sharply struck throughout with a soft satin texture to the finish.
