1795 Liberty Cap Cent. S-76B. Rarity-1. Noyes Die State A. Plain Edge. AU-58 BN (NGC). Deep golden-tan with an area of chocolate-brown toning in Miss Liberty's tresses. Scattered ticks and a faint obverse scratch come to light under low magnification, as does a patch of scaly detritus on the reverse at the I of AMERICA. We also note a tiny obverse rim bruise at 1 o'clock. Despite this, the naked eye enjoys a high-quality 1795 large cent, one that should be seen to be appreciated.
