Lot Description

Gigi Consignment. Mintage: 21,000. 26 graded MS-64, 32 higher at NGC. 1863 was the year that emissions for the 3-cent silver pieces dropped precipitously. Limited use (i.e., no over-use) of the dies may have aided the quality of strike as this example shows pleasing delineation of even minute details, including each peripheral star on the reverse. A refreshingly original, dusky grey-blue example with rose undertones.
