Lot Description

The second strike is off center 5 o'clock - it is a uniface obverse strike positioned at 6 o'clock relative to the first impression. The latter is also off center, to 3 o'clock, and there are areas of unstruck planchet beyond the denticles along both the left obverse and reverse. Dark charcoal-olive surfaces with lighter golden-brown engaging some of the design elements. A bit granular overall, yet free of troublesome marks. The obverse die is in the Miller 32 family, the reverse appears to be in the Miller X group.
