1870 Shield Nickel. FS-801 (FS-005.9). Doubled Die Reverse. MS-65 (NGC). Strong doubling on portions of&nbsp;the reverse legend and a few of the inner stars, which is clear when a loupe is applied and rather dramatic and easy to find. The color is bright nickel-white with pale gold from age, and the strike is sharp and the eye appeal strong. Currently one of the two finest graded by NGC and undoubtedly quite a rare issue with just seven seen in <em>all grades</em> at that service.
