Bright satin to semi-reflective surfaces are brilliant apart from crescents of pretty reddish-rose and pale lilac iridescence lining the left borders. Both sides are intensely lustrous with a sharply executed strike. Scarcest of the pre-1889 issues in the Carson City Mint Morgan dollar series, the popularity of the 1879-CC knows no bounds. Attractive Select and Choice Mint State coins, as here, are scarce relative to market demand.
