1834 Capped Bust Dime. JR-7. Rarity-2. Small 4. MS-64 (PCGS). Splashes of cobalt blue, reddish-apricot and olive-russet patina are more varied and extensive on the reverse of this handsome near-Gem. Sharply struck with billowy mint luster, this coin would be just right for a high grade type or variety set. Although not a rare die marriage, JR-7 is significant as the only one that conforms to the Small 4 Guide Bookvariety of the 1834 Capped Bust dime issue. PCGS Population: 32; 10 finer (MS-67 finest).
