Lot Description

A fully GEM quality example of this first year of issue. The obverse is essentially blast white with a strong frosty lustrous glow and rolling cartwheels. A subtle golden halo gives this heavenly coin an angelic halo. The reverse, on the other hand, has a soft clear gold patina, slightly deeper at the rims than in the centers. Well struck and satiny smooth overall, this GEM has a great look. PCGS 923, NGC 404, CAC 119. There are 60 graded MS65+ at PCGS and this date is quite scarce finer. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,150 and there has not been a PCGS/CAC MS65+ sold in auction since January 2019. With non-CAC MS65s bringing prices well in excess of current published levels, we have no doubt this CAC approved MS65+ will likewise bring a strong bid. Good luck. Cert. Number 46892366 PCGS # 7072
