1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 33.17-gg.2, W-3635. Rarity-5. Draped Bust Left, ETLIR. Fine-12. 114.2 grains. Uniformly microporous deep golden-tan surfaces. Both sides nicely centered, vertical obverse scratch of a vintage nature on effigy's cheek, rim to tops of EC, reverse with some tiny pecks across Liberty's shins and shield, rim tight to tops of ET, broken B in LIB punch gives the appearance of an R, swelling in field at Liberty's face and her feet as well as at the final date numeral. A highly collectable example of a rare variety. PCGS# 391.
