1740-A Half Sou Marque. Paris Mint. Vlack-295. Rarity-3. First Semester. AU-55 (PCGS). 15.6 grains. Sharply defined overall, the reverse off center to 6 o'clock, yet barely engaging the peripheral devices in that area. The planchet is smooth and choice with much original silvering.
