Lot Description

1841-O Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 5-F. MS-61 (PCGS). OGH. Warmly toned in golden-gray with intermingled olive highlights that are boldest around the peripheries. The surfaces are highly prooflike when held at an angle to the light. One of the rare Mint State 1841-O quarters that is not from the New Orleans Hoard but, rather, has been in numismatic channels for decades. Provenance: From the Steve Studer Collection.
