1797 Draped Bust Cent. S-121B. Rarity-3. Reverse of 1795, Gripped Edge. Fine-15 (PCGS). This generally smooth copper-brown example has plenty of good gloss. A few tiny nicks on the obverse are noted solely for accuracy, one in the lower left field particularly useful for provenance purposes. Struck from a late obverse die state, the centers are a bit soft due to die swell, but in general we note bold definition at the assigned grade level.
