Lot Description

1860-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). A sharply struck example from the Charlotte Mint, most are poorly struck at the centers but not so here as all devices are bold. Clean surfaces too that show light scuffs and nicks. Mintage of 7,469 as the South lurched toward war, most of the coins struck disappeared long ago. A desirable example for the numismatist.
