1853 Round 50 Cents. BG-415. Rarity-5-. Liberty Head. MS-64 (PCGS). Bright satin luster mingles with vivid pale gold color on both sides of this sharp and appealing near-Gem. Struck from a readily identifiable obverse die, star 1 is embedded in the top of the point of Liberty's bust. This is a BG Die State II example with faint clash marks in the reverse field. Scarce.
