1884-CC Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 1-A, the only known dies. VF-35 (PCGS). Ideal for inclusion in a mintmarked gold type set, this lovely mid-grade 1884-CC five is boldly defined overall with appreciably luster remaining. Both sides are bathed in warm honey-rose patina, the lower right obverse border with a blush of vivid steel-blue. Provenance: From the Collection of Silas Stanley Roberts, 1888-1966. PCGS# 8365.
