- Maybe, Maybe Not Collection. GR-1. The 1839-O half-dollar is an essential part of a New Orleans type set and has the added benefit of an unusual obverse mintmark. Here is a handsome example whose reverse stands on the cusp of retaining some luster, and both sides boast flashing fire-orange, turquoise and bluish grey undertones.
