Lot Description: Ex Link Collection, as noted on the insert. A classic, Condition Census O-106 from one of the GREATEST early half dollar collections of all time: Dr. Chuck Link! This borderline GEM is very high end with superior surfaces that are satiny smooth and super clean. We see no hidden lines or marks, even with the aid of a strong glass. Years ago, before certification, a coin like would have easily been sold as a full GEM MS65. There is a light luster and both sides are adorned by an original pale golden brown, light russet, and deep champagne color. Ms. Liberty and the details are sharply struck, although there is some minor weakness on the tip of the eagle’s wing. The eye appeal is incredible.
