A highly desirable example of one of the most eagerly sought issues in the ever-popular Morgan dollar series. Lightly toned in mottled sandy-gold iridescence, both sides readily reveal a frost to modestly semi-prooflike finish as the coin rotates under a light. Strike detail is nearly full with the design elements universally crisp. Impressively smooth for the assigned grade, as well, and just right for an advanced Morgan dollar set or collection of CC-Mint coinage. The scarcest of the Carson City Mint silver dollars of the ever-popular Morgan design type, and particularly elusive in Mint State, the 1889-CC enjoys strong numismatic demand in the finest circulated grades, as here.
