Lot 379 1853 N-28 R4 NGC graded MS63 Brown.Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. No spots or stains, just a few light contact marks including a tick at the top of the ear. Looks mint state but there is a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. Rare EDS, die state a, with sharp die lines from the dentils at stars 2-4. Our grade is AU55. Not in the overall condition census for the variety but one of the finest seen in the early die state. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label.
