- 1842-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. EF-40 (NGC). Scarce in all grades with perhaps 150 to 200 known in all grades, this pleasing high grade coin shows limited circulation but the soft strike common to this date. Mintage of 6,729 pieces for the year. Average surfaces which show bright yellow gold with a dash of copper hues and the surfaces are average with moderate circulation marks. PCGS# 7724.
