Lot Description
1811 Capped Bust Left Half Eagle. BD-1, HBCC-3121, Miller-115. Rarity-3+. Tall 5. MS-62 (NGC). This coin is an example of one of the later die states of the 1811 BD-1 Half Eagle. Both sides are heavily clashed (as struck), the obverse also with a spindly crack (again, as made) joining the outer points of stars 9 and 10. This is a very appealing coin at the BU grade level, both sides sharp-to-full in strike with fulsome satin luster. Blended green-gold and orange-gold colors further enhance an already attractive ""look,"" and there are no singularly detracting abrasions to report. Definitely a strong candidate for inclusion in an advanced gold type set.
