What a STUNNING example of this first commemorative half dollar type! Tied for second HIGHEST graded at PCGS, there is just a single MS68 graded finer. A beautifully toned and spectacularly preserved SUPERB GEM. Both sides are awash in aqua, azure, lilac, violet, sky blue and amber-rose gold on both sides. The devices stand out boldly with sharp strikes and virtually flawless surfaces. The luster is incredibly vibrant, accenting the colorful surfaces. What a GORGEOUS example! PCGS 49, NGC 50, CAC 25. There are 13 in MS67+ at PCGS and just a single MS68 graded finer. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $9,000. The most recent example to sell was in our September 2019 Regency Auction, realizing $7,050. The MS68 does not appear to have sold in auction, but carries a PCGS Price Guide value of $35,000.
