A PREMIUM QUALITY double dime. The 1875-S is the most common date in the extremely short lived denomination, and as such superb examples like this are usually what gets placed in high end type set. A highly lustrous and wonderfully preserved, this MS66+ displays a rich satin frost blooms all over in the fields accenting the crisply struck design features. Free of any distracting marks, this GEM has a bright silver brilliance and bold visual allure. PCGS 72, NGC 55, CAC 25. There are 13 graded MS66+ and only eight coins finer. We sold the most recent example in our July 2022 Regency Auction for $12,338 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $13,000. Just a single MS67 ever garnered CAC approval.
