Lot Description

A wonderful borderline GEM 1825 half dollar that is in the Condition Census for the variety. This is a very sharply struck and satiny lustrous borderline GEM with a sharp strike and beautiful, totally original toning on both sides. Lovely lilac and soft teal-blue tone blends with the clearest of gold over essentially flawless surfaces. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 102, NGC 50, CAC 27. There are 12 in MS64+ at PCGS. This coin last sold for $4,230 in our December 2019 Regency Auction and the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,750. Keep in mind that a marginally finer MS65 with CAC approval has value approaching five figures. This coin is essentially of that quality at less than half the price! Seems like a great value to us!
