Lot Description

There is a pleasing circulated cameo appearance on both sides of this piece due to the contrast between warm medium and steel-brown fields on the one hand, and lighter golden-brown to the design elements on the other. Centering is good, plow a bit soft yet fully appreciable, only significant softness for the grade confined to the lower left reverse periphery. The fields and recesses are rough and granular, devices smoother with no particularly notable marks on either side. Planchet flawed on obverse below sun face and, more significantly, on reverse at the border before the word QUARTA and through the all-seeing eye. This piece is visually pleasing in-hand for a Landscape Vermont, and it will nicely represent the VERMONTS <em>Guide Book</em> variety in many collections.
