Lot Description

Frosty pinkish-tan surfaces approach numismatic perfection. Both sides are fully struck and expertly preserved with outstanding visual appeal. The 1863 Indian cent has the highest mintage of any issue in the 1860s - 49,840,000 circulation strikes were produced. It is readily available in most Mint State grades but becomes critically scarce above MS-66. The present example is one of the finer certified, and it represents a serious prize for advanced specialists in this series.
