- As is curiously often the case for a properly graded coronet double-eagle in this range, the reverse clearly has strong claims to a mint-state assessment while the obverse depicts the merest touch of friction on the cheek. An array of delicate abrasions join in the fun, but the cumulative effect does not in the slightest deter tremendous luster. Fact or friction? You decide.
