- 1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Oak Tree Shilling. Noe-13.6, W-520. Rarity-6. IN at Bottom. Fine-15 (PCGS).
69.60 grains. Deep steel gray with blue and lilac overtones. Retrograde N at IN. Obverse off-center to bottom, rim through IN, beads above H elongated and drawn to rim, diagonal strip of weakness across the obverse from inside of beaded circle at 3 o'clock, across the tree and terminating at a weakened AS at 9 o'clock, no circulation marks are readily apparent, reverse somewhat unevenly toned, evenly centered, a trace of weakness in places in the legend though all is readable. On a somewhat oblong planchet.
