Gem 1791 Small Eagle Cent 1791 Washington Small Eagle Cent. Musante GW-17, Baker-16, W-10630. UNITED STATES Edge. MS-65 BN (PCGS). 194.9 grains. Delightful satin surfaces with dominant golden-brown toning and faint remnants of original faded rose color. Smooth and inviting, both sides are expertly preserved with nary a detracting blemish in evidence. Also expertly produced, we note good centering to the impression and a superior quality of otherwise strike with emerging to bold detail to the top of Washington's portrait. A second, equally beautiful Gem Mint State example of the type that would make an impressive addition to a high quality cabinet. Provenance: From the Greenway Collection.
