Lot Description

1870 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-53 (NGC). Light yellow-gold in color with a hint of copper in the dentils surrounding both sides. Scarce at all grade levels, as the total mintage was a scant 3,500 pieces, this pleasing example scarcely circulated, just enough to put wear on the high points of the design.
