Ex Link, as noted on the insert. This is a CONDITION CENSUS level O-112, a somewhat scarce R-3 variety. Richly toned with copious original toning that graces both sides of this GEM. A bold, underlying luster brings out the greenish-gray, pale blue, russet-tan, and pale gold tone on both sides. Sharply struck overall, this coin is extremely charming in terms of eye appeal and would fit nicely into any set of GEM type coins or a specialized set of Capped Bust half dollars. We do not understand why CAC did not bean this wonderful GEM. PCGS 12, NGC 9. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,500 but keep in mind this GEM sold for $9,400 in the 2012 ANA auction and $8,913 in our Regency Auction IV. Bid accordingly. Cert.
