1871 Indian Cent. Snow-PR2. Shallow N, 71 Nearly Touch. Proof-64 RD (PCGS). Eagle Eye Photo Seal. An impressively lustrous mint orange Proof of the date, one of 960+ examples struck according to the <em>Guide Book,</em> a figure that concurs with that in Rick Snow's Whitman reference on the series. The satiny and reflective fields form a nice cameo contrast with the frosty motifs, especially on the reverse. Shallow N in ONE on the reverse, 71 in date virtually touch at the tops, a variety that Rick Snow considers to be far more rare than the Bold N Proofs of the date. Choice for the grade with excellent all-around eye appeal.
