Lot Description

There were two different reverse die styles used in 1870; leftover dies showed a "shallow" N in ONE, where as the newer dies, utilized from 1870 onward, had a deeper cut N, known as the "bold" N. Since the reverse dies are not dated, both styles were employed for a number of years. Advanced collectors often wish to include an example of each reverse type in their sets. Here is an opportunity to acquire a premium near-Gem. The FS-901 attribution is not noted on the PCGS insert.
