Noyes Die State B/G. Satin to softly frosted in texture with ample mint color in warm rose-orange, both sides of this attractively original Gem also show original toning in steely olive-brown. Expectably smooth for the assigned NGC grade, although tiny obverse marks are seen below star 3 and inside star 11, and there is some light carbon scattered about on the reverse that includes a faint spot above the upright of the letter E in ONE. Boldly struck and visually pleasing, there is much to recommend this 1837 Newcomb-11 cent to high grade type and variety collectors.
