1879 Shield Nickel. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. Lightly toned in pale sandy-gold, this lustrous and sharply struck example possesses superior eye appeal at the assigned grade level. With a limited mintage of 25,900 circulation strikes, the 1879 is a scarce Shield nickel in Mint State.
