Lot Description

1787 Fugio Cent. Pointed Rays. Newman 11-B, W-6785. Rarity-4. UNITED STATES, 4 Cinquefoils. EF-40 (PCGS). 170.5 grains. A charming piece with medium brown surfaces that are original and attractive. A few small planchet flaws are noted as well as some slightly granular natural planchet texture, but there are no distracting issues either pre or post-strike. The rather thick planchet received a well balanced and nicely centered strike from the usual heavily clashed state of the dies. Provenance: From our (Stack's) C.
