A popular Type II double eagle, this date becomes decidedly scarce in Choice Mint State or higher, thus making good looking MS-62 pieces like this a great selection for date purposes. Bright green-gold coloration adorns both the obverse and reverse, enlivened by a thick, satiny mint frost. Well struck with minimal marks for the grade, this example is pleasing and will delight any collector.
