1862-S Liberty Head Double Eagle. VF-30 (PCGS). Rich khaki-orange patina blankets both sides of this overall smooth and well defined Choice VF. In circulated grades such as this the 1862-S (854,173 pieces produced) is one of the more readily obtainable double eagles from the Civil War era. PCGS# 8938. NGC ID: 269N.
