Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-104 (R.4 or possibly R.4+) "square base knob 2, large date". Very tough in any grade, O-104 was considered rare not too many years ago but now gets a "very scarce" rating by the early half-dollar community. A finer example may prove tough to come by since this pleasing and decently lustrous coin beats the odds and garners a mint-state assessment by NGC. A couple of coarser marks on the cheek and another on the neck undoubtedly limit the grade. Filmy olive-rose and steely chartreuse-grey glint from the surface.
