1816 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. AU-58 (PCGS). Lustrous dark brown with slightly reflective surfaces that display no distracting marks or spots, just a few tiny abrasions. Faint traces of slightly faded mint color surrounds some of the detail. A premium piece that could easily pass as Mint State and most likely came from the famous Randall Hoard that yielded many examples of this variety. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
