Lot Description
Tied for FINEST graded 1935 cent! This is just the second example in this grade to come to market since our May 2018 Regency Auction when we sold the first one graded for a world record $34,075. Precious few wheat cents, despite huge mintages, survive in such a pristine state of preservation and this is a monster! An exacting blow from the dies rendered full, complete definition to both sides. The fire-engine red color is brought to life by a stunning luster that enlivens the surfaces beautifully. The surfaces are PRISTINE and flawless, as expected at this grade, and with NONE FINER, you have few options for such a high grade example for your type or Registry Set. PCGS 17, NGC 3, CAC 2. There are three in MS68+ RD at PCGS. The other example brought a WORLD RECORD $34,075 in our May 2018 Regency Auction. Today the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $34,500 and we have no doubt today this AMAZING BLAZING cent will sell for another strong bid. Good luck, the competition for this one will be as hot as the fiery red surfaces! Cert. Number 45267124 PCGS # 2641
