Losbeschreibung
1847-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-104. Doubled Die Obverse. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. Fantastic originality in a conditionally rare 1847-O Half Dollar, both sides exhibit irregular splashes of vivid cobalt-blue and orange-russet iridescence. The base color is one of "old-silver" patina through which softly frosted luster shines powerfully at all angles. Grade-limiting abrasions include a few wispy grazes in the fields, but this sharply impressed beauty is clearly a superior example of an issue that is typically offered with at least some degree of wear.
The WB-104 is a minor DDO with doubling evident on the rock to the left of Liberty's left (facing) hand, the first element of horizontal stripe 1 in the shield and the end of the ribbon. One will need a loupe to discern these features.
